Pathophysiology is the functional study of the body’s response to disease, injury, or abnormal states. Unlike Pathology, which focuses on the structural changes in cells and tissues, pathophysiology examines the mechanisms of how a condition affects systemic function—such as how the Juxtaglomerular Apparatus reacts during Hypertension.
