Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). The immune system eats away at the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerves, causing communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. Symptoms vary widely and can include muscle weakness, coordination issues, and chronic pain.
